Starting at $400, this is an affordable 13 inch waterproof system. An 110V power adapter is included for free, while the 12V is optional. It’s a metal unit with a good level of water proofing. it can be used outside in the elements. However, the screen is not outdoor viewable, unlike midrange 13 and other midrange and premium units. However, it does have an anti-reflective coating, making it brighter and more visible than the basic 12, with a 20% larger screen area.
You can add almost ALL of the upgrades and options to this model except for touch screen, and SSD. However, it doesn’t make sense to go overboard on options, since getting the midrange 13 waterproof instead would be a better choice at that point.
