Are you looking for a good GPS antenna for TimeZero that will work on your laptop or desktop? 99.9% of laptops do not come with a NMEA compatible GPS antenna from the factory. Hence, when you install TimeZero, you will not have the real time tracking capability. I can help you with that. USB GPS NMEA antenna for TimeZero – three kinds available
All of these units are based on uBlox chip set which are one of the best in the business. They are all waterproof as well, and have a 6 ft cord. They plug into a standard USB port, and just work after being configured. I can also help you configure it in TimeZero as well if you don’t know how do that. GLONASS are another constellation of global positioning satellites which cover the whole world. A dual band GPS/GLONASS antenna therefore sees more satellites and has a better signal!
- $75 Basic GPS 1 Hz standard update rate. A good budget option.
- $125 Midrange GPS & GLONASS dual band + 1 Hz standard update rate. Multi GNSS receivers see more satellites and have a stronger signal. They can be more accurate and reliable under adverse weather conditions such as heavy overcast, rain, or snow.
- $175 Premium GPS & GLONASS dual band + up to 10 Hz fast update rate. Same as above, but also offers a faster update rate for a smoother experience.

USB AIS receiver for TimeZero with antenna $200
I also supply inexpensive AIS receivers for TimeZero. They come with an antenna and work completely independent of your VHF radio. This makes them portable and easy to move along with the laptop you are using for TimeZero. They are also plug and play and require no drivers in Windows 10. Why are my navigation laptops a good chartplotter alternative?
My navigation laptop systems can be much more affordable than Garmin, Lowrance, Simrad, B&G, Furuno, Humminbird, Raymarine, Si-Tex. They make fancy expensive MFD’s, but not everyone needs that. I will also support the GPS laptop your purchase forever! Furthermore, I believe that some of the commercial chart plotter brands gouge their customers. Large companies force you to upgrade by no longer supporting older units with chart and software updates. In addition, they charge outrageous fees for simple things like a larger screen size.
